Acacia gum is naturally rich in soluble fibre. It dissolves easily, stays low in viscosity and has no marked taste, so it blends easily into powders, drinks and gummies.
It has been widely studied, notably for its prebiotic effect. In the European Union, any nutrition or health claim on a finished product must comply with Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 and remains the manufacturer's responsibility.
It is also an excellent microencapsulation carrier: when spray-dried, it protects vitamins, oils and flavours that are sensitive to oxidation.
